    If you’ve ever reached an impasse with loading weight, but still need a way to challenge yourself within your reps or sets, try these methods below to up the ante without adding on the pounds.

    • Increase tempo: You can increase the tempo, or go slower through a movement to increase the difficulty
    • Add reps: If you’ve hit a ceiling on weight, increase reps instead, once you’ve added on 75% of your standard set, try going up in weight, or potentially decreasing reps with higher weight.
    • Decrease rest periods
    • Add training strategies such as paused reps (isolations) and quarter reps

    No added weight? No problem!
