Got a chance to listen to the July Community Call playback this AM and wanted to share that I loved hearing about the long-term work it takes to make a change. I started a goal for weight loss early last year and it has taken me sooo long to lay all the groundwork. A few things mentioned in the call were absolutely part of my groundwork: learning how to grocery shop, learning some basic recipes, practicing meal prepping, learn how to start strength training, working toward being more consistent in the gym, slowly weaning down my daily caloric intake, etc.
I cannot believe it’s been such a long time to change these habits but I’m so proud to look back and realize how much progress has been made. It also gives me a lot of compassion for others trying to make lifestyle changes — it’s not as simple as just deciding to lose weight! Thanks to those that were on the call last night for sharing and engaging. 🙂
